Since the outbreak, more than 186 million people worldwide have been diagnosed. For some people, the
diagnosis is not terrible. They are more worried about how the sequelae after recovery may affect their
health. A few days ago, the medical journal "JAMA Network Open" published a study, and found that it
takes longer than normal diseases for the confirmed patients to fully recover to their normal state.
The research was conducted from March 25 last year to January 24 this year. The team recruited more than
37,000 users who use Apple Watch, Fitbit or other wearable devices to participate in the research. In the first
report released in October last year, the team has confirmed that devices such as Apple Watch and Fitbit can
effectively detect cases COVID-19 cases. In the latest report, they found that 9 days after the diagnosis
COVID-19 cases, the heart rate of people with COVID-19 cases began to decline, then began to rise, and
will continue to rise for several months.
The research team pointed out that it takes about 79 days for the resting heart rate of patients with COVID-19
to return to a normal state. As for patients with other diseases, it usually takes only 4 days to return to a normal
heart rate. Among them, about 14% of patients with COVID-19 patients have a heart rate that is still higher than
normal even one or two months after recovery, and the heart rate has not returned to normal for more than 133
days on average. Epidemiologist Jennifer Radin said that the study found that patients with COVID-19 patients
have significant changes in the number of steps they walk and sleep. They want to restore their physical condition
to a level that requires more time than other diseases.
